Hiring a local taxi driver from Sabbah was a great, leisurely way to experience the mountains of Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia. We asked him to stop wherever we wished and he also took us to places that many tourists wouldn’t be aware of. What a magical experience to walk amongst the butterflies at Taman Kupu-Kupu Poring Butterfly farm, sit in the natural hot springs and walk through the canopy walkway of the rainforest at Jambatan Atas Pokok. This was an amazing way to see the beauty of Malaysia. We just loved it!
